Vivid Sydney will be on our doorstep sooner than we can say ‘We love Whales!’ This year, the museum’s Vivid team have been working to create ‘Aquatic Nights’, a celebration of lights and performances to craft an experience people everywhere will remember. Recently, for a brief moment, you might have seen on our lighthouse light up; it was a taste of what’s to come, as our lovely precinct will be transformed into a wonderland of oceanic colours from 23 May to 9 June 2014.

This year’s roof projection takes inspiration from two current exhibitions Beautiful Whale and Amazing Whales. Colourful and unique, we will see the roof light up with awesome oceanic hues to delight, inspire and captivate all ages.

The performance weekends are full of music from DJ’s to reggae inspired bands and indie, folk and rock that will energise you and make you want to get up and dance the night away. Check out the performance program and our Vivid Sydney page for details.

So make a plan to come down and enjoy the performances, bring your family and friends and have a ‘Whale of a time’.

Connect with us on social media using the hashtags #whaleseason and #VividSydney.
